Bike Medics

To be selected as a member, you must be in shape and demonstrate proficiency with a bicycle. The bike team was started to provide medical care to special events such as the 4th of July fire works, Praters Mill, ... (Shown: Andy)

These events are spread out over a large terrain that is not always accessible with an ambulance. The bike team can get on scene rapidly and stabilize the pt while waiting on the ambulance crew to get there on foot.

Due to the nature of the team, agility on and proficiency with a bicycle are required.

The team carries large bags on their bikes that are stocked with the necessary items to handle small and large emergencies.
